Scope of Work:

Hall STEM Academy is scheduled to be renovated to accommodate a new observatory to support the STEM program.

October 2022: The observatory classroom is complete and the final touches are being done on dome enclosure.  The Telescopes are onsite and scheduled to be assembled October 2022

December 2022:  Project is completed. Hall STEM Academy Observatory Grand Opening 11/9/2022

July 2022: The walls are going up in the observatory classroom and the dome will be place on the roof August 5, 2022

June 2022: Construction renovation activities in rooms 101 and 135 are ongoing for the creation of the observatory and will continue through Summer 2022.  

May 2022: The demolition and construction renovation activities in rooms 101 and 135 will begin May 16, 2022 and will continue through Summer 2022.

Efforts will be made to minimize the disruption to Hall STEM Academy’s operations through scheduling, phasing and engineering controls. When feasible and where necessary, work will be performed after business hours. Active construction areas will be isolated from occupants at all times.

April 2022: Sheehy will begin construction on May 16, 2022.  Work will happen in the afternoons/evenings until the end of the school year.

March 2022: Please join us for an informative virtual community meeting to learn more about the planned observatory at Hall STEM Academy. This project supports the STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) for students at Hall STEM Academy.

January 2022: Sheehy Construction has been awarded the bid for the Hall STEM Academy Addition and Renovation Project, pending Board Approval in February 2022

November 2021: Design is underway for the observatory at Hall STEM Academy.  The Design will be completed and ready for bidding by December 2021
