Sheridan Arts Spanish Dual Immersion is getting exterior upgrades to make its school property safer and more welcoming through added landcaping, the reconfiguration of parking and creation of  a dedicated service entry. Please read below for more details and site plans; background information on the design process planning is also avaiable.

TIMELINE:  Break ground: June 19, 2017; Completed: Aug. 18, 2017

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Greening and landscaping of property by the installation of two rain gardens, trees and other greenery.
     
  • Installation of an outdoor learning area off the south side of the school.
     
  • Safe access established for students to playground.
     
  • Dedicated service entry added to northwest corner of school.
     
  • ADA compliant northwest entry at door number 7 with ramp and door operator.
     
  • Playground will have added green space to replace the blacktop.
     
  • Parking will be reformatted by moving parking spaces currently located at the front (south side) of the school to northwest corner; parking goes down by one space, but still totals 85 total spaces, which exceeds code.
